This policy explains what data RecipeFab (recipefab.com) collects and how it’s used.

Comments

When you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you’re using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After a comment is approved, your comment content and profile picture (if using Gravatar) are visible publicly alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site (for example, as part of a comment where supported), avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience on future comments. These cookies last for one year. This site also uses a cookie-consent tool to let visitors manage cookie preferences, and caching/performance cookies to improve page load speed. No advertising-network tracking cookies are knowingly used at this time.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images). Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website directly, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically rather than held in a moderation queue. For users who register on the site (if applicable), the personal information provided in their profile is stored, and users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username).

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments on this site, you can request an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data provided.
