This disclaimer explains how to use the recipes, cooking guides and nutrition information on RecipeFab. Everything here is general home-cooking information, written to be clear and practical. Please read this disclaimer together with our editorial policy, which explains how posts are researched, sourced and corrected.
When This Disclaimer Applies
This disclaimer applies to every recipe, guide, table and printable recipe card on RecipeFab, including posts that are updated after they are first published. By using the site, you accept this disclaimer together with the terms and conditions linked below.
Not Medical or Dietary Advice
Nothing on this site is medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and no post replaces advice from a qualified professional. If you have a health condition, follow a special diet, are pregnant, or are cooking for babies, young children or older adults, check with a doctor or registered dietitian before changing what you eat.
Health-related posts (for example, guides on fiber, sugar or sodium) summarize public sources such as the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. They describe general findings, not what is right for you.
Nutrition Estimates
Nutrition figures are estimates calculated from USDA FoodData Central for the ingredients and amounts listed in each recipe card. Real values change with brands, portion sizes, cooking losses and substitutions, and optional ingredients and garnishes are usually left out. See how we calculate nutrition for the full method. If you track calories, sodium or carbohydrates for medical reasons, check your own labels.
Food Safety and Allergies
Follow safe food-handling practices, including the safe minimum internal temperatures and storage times on FoodSafety.gov. Use a food thermometer for meat, poultry, egg dishes and leftovers rather than relying on color or time alone.
- Do not eat raw dough or batter; raw flour and raw eggs can carry harmful bacteria (FDA).
- Refrigerate perishable food within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F).
- Do not give honey to children under 12 months old.
- Always read ingredient labels for allergens. Recipes may contain, or be made alongside, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, fish or shellfish.
Your Results Can Differ
Ovens, pans, altitude, humidity and ingredient brands all change how a recipe turns out. Cooking times in each recipe are guides; use the doneness cues and temperatures in the steps. Small-appliance recipes (such as air fryer, Instant Pot or frozen-drink machine posts) follow the maker’s published guidance, so read your own appliance manual first, because models and settings differ.
Brands, Trademarks and Outside Links
Brand and product names mentioned on RecipeFab belong to their owners. Mentioning a brand or appliance does not mean RecipeFab is connected to, sponsored by or endorsed by that company. Some posts link to outside websites, such as government food-safety pages, for sources and further reading. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Photos and Content Use
Recipe text, tables and guides are written for RecipeFab. Featured photos come from free stock libraries such as Unsplash and Pexels and are credited at the end of each post; they show the dish style, not necessarily the exact recipe as written. Please do not copy full recipes or articles to another site. A short quote with a link back to the original post is welcome.
Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer when the site adds new kinds of content or changes how it works. The latest version of the disclaimer is always the one on this page.
Errors, Updates and Contact
We check facts against primary sources and correct mistakes when we find them, as described in the editorial policy. If you spot an error, a broken link or something that is unclear, please tell us through the contact page. For how personal data is handled, see the privacy policy and the terms and conditions.
